The Canada Golden Maple Film Festival, hereafter referred to as "CGM", is sponsored by the Canadian National Film Bureau and the Canadian Film Union. CGM is proudly organized by one of the top universities in Canada, the University of British Columbia’s Film Academy and Film Society. Co-organized by the Master Shot Motion Pictures Inc. and M.E Mediatech Corp., In September 24, 2016, the CGM Award Gala is take place in the UBC Student Nest.
