Bethune' Posthumous Paper Bethune' Posthumous Paper tells us that when he came to China in 1938, he went to the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region, the Anti-Japanese front line. When rescuing the wounded, his left middle finger was cut by a scalpel and infected. regardless of the pain, he insisted on going to the field for rescue. Bethune eventually died because of the worsening of the injury and the invalid treatment. After his death, Chinese leader Mao Zedong wrote the famous "memorial Bethune", while Bethune's posthumous paper that he left has also touched countless Chinese.
